Welcome remarks

We are delighted to announce the 4th GBA1 Conference, taking place June 27–29 in Montréal, Canada, at Le Centre Sheraton Hotel. Building on the success of previous meetings, we are excited to bring together the global GBA1 community once again, including scientists, clinicians, patients, families, industry partners, and other key stakeholders, to advance research and accelerate therapeutic progress for GBA1-associated neurodegenerative diseases.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that meaningful progress begins with collaboration and a shared commitment to the patient community. The experiences and perspectives of individuals and families affected by GBA1-associated conditions continue to guide our efforts and reinforce the importance of connecting scientific discovery with real-world impact.

Over three days, the conference will provide a platform for sharing the latest scientific advances, exploring emerging therapeutic strategies, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, and strengthening partnerships across the research and patient communities. Through open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collective action, we aim to accelerate discoveries and bring us closer to meaningful treatments for those affected.
